NATURALIS – PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)
Approximately 50% of females suffer from stress urinary incontinence, painful intercourse & loss of sexual function due to a variety of causes including childbirth, aging and menopause. Some younger women also have difficulty with sexual arousal and stress urinary incontinence.
WHAT IS NATURALIS PRP?
Naturalis Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) uses the patient’s own cells (platelets) to provide improvement in the health, quality and function of the female genito-urinary region which restores tissues to a more youthful state. It is an effective ‘hormone free’, minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment.
HOW DOES NATURALIS PRP REGENERATE TISSUE?
Naturalis PRP stimulates the remodeling of aging tissue through activation of the body’s healing processes. When tissue is injured, the body responds by sending ‘super healer’ cell types to the site of injury to generate new tissue. These ‘super healer’ cells are platelets. Naturalis PRP is a procedure that harnesses the bio-stimulating power of platelets and their growth factors to initiate an intensified regenerative process. In this procedure, PRP will provide biological rejuvenation of the injected area to help treat the cause of the patient symptoms.
NATURALIS PRP CAN ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS;
– Vaginal / Vulval (VVA) – irritation, burning, itching, chafing, bleeding or other discomfort of the vagina or external vulval tissues, Dyspareunia (pain during sex), lack of lubrication.
– Female Sexual dysfunction (FSD) – Female sexual disorder (difficulty with arousal), Female orgasmic disorder (difficulty climaxing), hypoactive sexual desire (low desire)
– Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) – urine leakage with physical activity, sneezing, coughing
WHEN TO EXPECT CHANGES?
Improvements to vascular supply, especially to the clitoris and G-Spot region, can be noticed within hours. However regeneration of epithelial tissue and nerves initiated by the bioactive proteins and growth factors will take up to 12 weeks to be noticeable with a similar timeframe for new collagen, elastin and the extracellular matrix to be formed. Ongoing improvement of injected areas will continue up to 6 months post procedure, when it will then stabilize for the next 12 months.
